final idea?

here is my progress on stealing other peoples ideas and making them mine.

  1. The shape on the left feels unresolved. Probably the way that shape connects with the bottom of the paper separates it in space. The composition seems to cry out for being made wider than the stock 8.5 x 11 format. Good formal play between black and white. I wonder if some larger objects could be closer to the viewer and not just in the distance.

  2. I like what you have so far. Making an underground scene would be fab!

  3. I like the general simplicity of this piece, I like the idea of creating another landscape underneath the water.

  4. I like the "walking on the moon" feel I get when I look at your piece. I'm interested to see what you do (or don't do) with the empty space.

  5. I agree with Chris about the space to the left... doesn't seem to go with everything else. You piece is very detailed. I like where its going. What size for the final product?

  6. Nice start, keep going, I think if you played around with scale it would turn out to be a great piece. Can't wait to see the final product.

  7. I felt like I was in space or something or some sort of galaxy which is cool. It is a really detailed piece and I love where it is going. I wonder how big you will make this. I really like it

  8. To me, this project is very open to interpretation. I see the shape on the left as a spiraling stair case leading to a group of bells with a pirate battle in the center. I think the more subtle this project is, the more it'll capture people's imaginations. If thats what you want to do..
